Last Friday, Ipag was transformed for a day by hosting an organic market, fair trade stands, a blood donation station, and the launch of the brand new student web radio station from Nice, Radio Ipag. A launch that lived up to all its promises, with all the uncertainties that live broadcasting can entail.
10:58 AM โ All tests are positive and all the indicators are green on the consoles. The countdown can finally begin andโฆ the IT connection fails at 10:59 AM, one minute before going on air. It was a perfect crisis management scenario but the students and professors from MMM needed more than that to stop them, as they pinpointed the issue and got things back to normal with the signals green again in less than 20 minutes. On air!
The inaugural broadcast could begin with Fiorella and Antoine in charge, presenting Ipag and its new media management curriculum along with the professors present: Caroline Magne Ciotti (Institutional and Political Communication), Cรฉcile Netto (Marketing and Product Launch), Alexandra Borchio Fontimp (Radio Technique), Vincent Marty (Web and Social Networks), Philippe Bellissent (Media Overview), Mr. Marc Concas (Media Law), Alexis Tison Aldeguer (Video), and Franck Viano, its educational coordinator. Then came the recorded reports from the directors of Ipag, Guillaume Bigot and Philippe Dorey, followed by interviews with the organizers of the day’s events (Bio Day, Blood Donation, Fair Trade) before starting to present the show concepts entirely created by the students which will form Radio Ipag’s programming in a few days.
And there’s something for everyone, with eight shows on various themes such as culture, sports, fashion, the web and social networks, as well as the collective “big show” named “Les petites tรชtes” which will be a show made by Ipagiens for Ipagiens. The shows will be recorded in Ipag’s new radio studio and will then be broadcast on Radio Ipag starting December 3, each day at different broadcast times. Many live and outdoor events are also planned, including the cheerful team of Master Media Manager hosting a special Telethon show at Place Pierre Gautier (Cours Saleya) on Friday, December 7, during the day and evening, and they might also be found at the next Nice Carnival.
Mission accomplished for Caroline, Emeline, Vanessa, Fiorella, Eeva, Vanessa, Heloรฏse, Thomas, Antoine, and Tristan who efficiently handled the operations between files and press releases, media and guest management, communication, and web buzzingโฆ
In short, a well-deserved weekend and see you on Monday, December 3, to discover the first shows of Radio Ipag!
