A ceremony was organized this morning to commemorate the victims of the attack carried out on October 29, 2020, at the Basilica of Notre-Dame, which claimed the lives of Nadine, Simone, and Vincent.
At 8:30 am this morning, in the presence of the families, a tribute ceremony was held in honor of Nadine, Simone, and Vincent, victims of the attack that shook the city of Nice on October 29, 2020. An unforgivable act that still today leaves a gaping wound in the hearts of the people of Nice and the victims’ families.
The ceremony was marked by the laying of wreaths by the families and political representatives of the city of Nice and the region. A minute of silence was also observed.
The wreaths were laid at the foot of the statue by artist Théo Tobiasse, “The Dove of Peace,” which was inaugurated two years prior.

The church rang its bells, and a mass presided over by Monsignor Jean-Philippe Nault and Father Franklin Parmentier took place to pay a final tribute and pray for the victims’ families. About a hundred people were present in the Basilica on this day of mourning to attend the mass.
