Official launch of the “Carte Azur”, a true orange card at the scale of the Alpes-Maritimes department. – Unlimited bus and tramway journeys for โฌ1 per day with a gradual transition to multimodal pricing.
The Carte Azur on the Lignes dโAzur, Envibus, and Monaco networks, already equipped with interoperable ticketing, allows for the proposal of the first 2 common subscriptions valid on all their bus and tramway lines, priced at โฌ365 per year and โฌ45 per month.
The creation of the “Carte Azur” enables a rational offer that best meets the needs of the entire population regarding public transport: travelers will be able to validate their travel tickets in any bus or tramway thanks to the implementation of compatible ticketing systems among the different transport authorities.
The new system brings coherence to the networks of Nice Cรดte dโAzur, the General Council, CASA, and the Principality of Monaco. The experimentation carried out since March 2010 with the first “pilot” customers has verified the functioning of the system between the urban networks of Nice Cรดte dโAzur, the Sophia Antipolis Metropolitan Community, Monaco, and the interurban network of the General Council.
Gradually, between mid-2011 and mid-2012, the other networks in the Alpes-Maritimes (CARF, SITP, Sillages) will integrate the system as their equipment is completed.
By the end of this period, the “Carte Azur” will offer a unique multimodal pricing allowing all bus and tramway users to travel freely in the Alpes-Maritimes and the Principality of Monaco.
