An Azurian student portal in great shape

Latest News

Yesterday, at the Garibaldi Associations Space, an initial report on the Azur Students Portal designed by the City of Nice was presented. With more than 80,000 visitors in just over a year, it is a great achievement by the Higher Education Department under the leadership of Ms. Agnรจs Rampal.

Would you like to know everything about student life in the Azur region without even having to ask? This has been possible for a few months now thanks to the online platform launched by the City of Nice at the very end of 2009. The principle is simple: the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, local Grandes Ecoles, and numerous student associations can now publish all of their news for free through a section entirely dedicated to them.

Announcements of events, meetings, student parties, or various information, the Azur Students Portal aims to be an exhaustive platform for everything happening in the local student universe. With regularly updated information, the portal is also available on all types of smartphones (iPhone, Blackberryโ€ฆ) or electronic tablets like the iPad.

“We wanted a user-friendly and interactive space so that both students and institutions could quickly find answers to their various questions. Thatโ€™s why each institution or student association has secured access to upload their information regarding their news.” Agnรจs Rampal is delighted with the initial results of the portal, which continues to evolve according to needs, and thus, in the coming months, other features such as an interactive calendar or even indexing on Google News will be added to the portal.

After the Sports Portal and the Associations Portal, this is a new achievement combining the web and social networking made freely available by the City of Nice, proving that the web is undoubtedly one of the primary information channels in the Azur media landscape.
