“Allison was out of reach tonight. I have no regrets,” admitted Muffat. “I got a silver medal after the gold. I got my title, I’m happy,” she emphasized.
In the competition of congratulations, Eric Ciotti was, this time, the fastest:
“I wish to warmly congratulate Camille Muffat who achieves a superb silver medal in the 200 meters freestyle following her Olympic title on Sunday evening.
This result confirms, if there was still any need, that she is a talented champion, endowed with an exceptional mindset and determination, but above all capable of working for long hours to achieve her goals. This courage, this work ethic, this determination are true examples for all our youth.
These two Olympic medals are also a tremendous reward for her coach Fabrice Pellerin, who has been accompanying her for several years, and all the staff of the Olympic Nice Natation.
Once again, Camille Muffat has honored Team 06 Conseil Gรฉnรฉral and beyond, the Alpes-Maritimes.”
