A skillful blend of delirious stand-up and a gallery of characters as crazy as they are lifelike, Céline Iannucci takes us, sometimes with songs, into her world of hilarious sorrow. She talks about her unbearable obsessions, her chaotic beginnings in the artistic profession, her need to create without actually having children, and her hatred of the prevailing idiocy, taking us from laughter… to laughter.
Mocking others, she knows how to do, but it’s herself she mocks best! And when she invites us into the disordered intimacy of her relationship, we have the strange feeling of sharing it. As a master of burlesque deviation, the quirks and the funny mess she depicts inevitably trigger our hilarity. And very quickly, we no longer know who goes crazy, her or us? The melodies of her wacky world crack us up and we let ourselves be swept away in the absurd whirlwind of her life… of life.
