The International Football Club, chaired by Jean Tigana, is spearheading this act of assistance and solidarity in favor of the victims and their families affected by the July 14th attack, gathered under the association “Promenade des Anges.”
This is not the first time that the IFC has “stepped onto the field” of solidarity; it has done so in the past on several occasions since its establishment in 1953.
“It is quite natural that Italy, a neighboring and friendly country, which was also cruelly affected on the night of July 14, 2016, has been invited to respond on the evening of June 17, 2017. Many of those who, on the French and Italian sides, have written some of the most beautiful pages in the national history of the 1990s and 2000s will be found on the Allianz Riviera pitch,” said Jean Tigana, present at the Allianz Riviera for the official announcement.
The proceeds from this match will be entirely donated to the “Promenade des Anges” Association, which gathers the victims and families of victims of the Nice attack on July 14, 2016, providing them with various forms of support.
