This Monday at the Offjazz Dance School, the creation of this “musical and choreographic fresco,” titled “Raise the Bodies,” will be presented, focusing on the interplay and resonance of voice and body.
The libretto will highlight the body through all its transformations and mutations in an onstage evolution depicted as a tableau, also incorporating video and choreography. The music will be open to multiple stylistic and cultural influences, consistent with the signature style of Bruno Coulais’s musical compositions.
As part of the “chorales” project, conservatories, music schools, and the associative musical sector are being involved to bring music professionals into the department’s middle schools. By engaging film music composer Bruno Coulais, the FARECI association, which aims to develop collective musical practices in schools, proposes the creation of an original work intended for cycle 3 students (5th grade and middle school choirs at the 6th/5th-grade level).
