A young addition to the Nice landscape, “Cabane du 12” is a vegan grocery store. This means that no products are of animal origin.
The journey that led Yasmine to create this store began three years ago. At a vegan fair, she met a young child who bought only from vendors that had a plant-based diet. Even if the product was very tempting, the child refused to try it, despite no pressure from his mother by his side. This initiative was a spark for Yasmine, who decided to further commit to this approach. She was living in the Paris region, and the transition to a plant-based diet was therefore simplified by the number of stores already present, offering a wide range of choices that satisfied all desires.
Upon returning to Nice after four years of study, she chose to open a vegan grocery store. The project quickly came to life with presentations at various pop-ups in Nice where passersby could discover all the products.

The physical store will open around December 10th at 14 rue Tonduti de L’Escarène. There, you’ll find an inviting store that will also offer a tea room section. The aim is to show that with everyday ingredients, one can cook simple and nutritious foods. Shifting consumption from animal products towards a plant-based initiative is far from impossible. On the contrary, one can indulge themselves while discovering new products.
Cabane du 12 aims to facilitate plant-based eating without making it restrictive. This is embodied in its concept-store and bulk section, where products of various ranges will be presented to go beyond the diet we know. The business is also committed to a waste reduction approach by promoting low-waste products.
Yasmine also seeks to dispel the misconception that this type of diet is exorbitantly priced. Vegan and processed products can be expensive to purchase. However, if you buy the basics and cook them yourself, it’s much cheaper. On the website or in-store, you can rediscover products you consume daily (such as cheese) but made with different concepts and ingredients. The smell and results will be identical, only the ingredients differ.
