In total, 3,304 new positive diagnoses have been recorded, compared to 1,955 on Monday. In 24 hours, 35 new clusters of grouped cases have also been detected, the DGS indicated.
In total, 4,600 people are hospitalized for a Covid-19 infection, a figure that is slightly down. The number of patients in intensive care, 410, has, however, seen a slight increase compared to Monday.
Sixteen additional deaths have been recorded in 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the epidemic in France to 30,544 people, including 20,038 in hospitals.
In light of this concerning situation, the High Council for Public Health (HCSP) recommends “systematically wearing a mask.”
