After the department of Bouches-du-Rhône, three other departments in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, including the Alpes-Maritimes, are concerned by the change in level – from limited to moderate –, communicates the regional ARS.
Indeed, the indicators suggest that the level of vulnerability in the Alpes-Maritimes department is increasing.
Number of new cases diagnosed over the past seven days (incidence rate): 28 per 100,000 inhabitants.
The observed increase in incidence is particularly noted in young adult populations (20-40 years) with a rate of 57 per 100,000 inhabitants.
The number of tests and mass screening campaigns have almost tripled (from 5,177 tests per week at the end of June to over 13,600 at the beginning of August). There is also a noted overall increase in the positivity rate, which has reached a threshold of 2.2% to date.
