Diego Noto, gold medalist of Youth and Sports

Latest News

The gold medal for youth and sports crowns Diego Noto’s ongoing commitment to the Cavigal club, significantly contributing to the prominence of our department. The recipient, not without emotion, wished to share this honor with his spiritual father, the late Bob Remond, his friends, collaborators, and family.

He is one of the most distinguished coaches and sports club managers in our department, honored by the President of the General Council on Thursday.

Starting his career as a player at Cavigal in 1962 at the age of seven and a half, Diego Noto became a manager-coach of the club at 30. In 1995, he became Vice-President of Cavigal for three years, then took over the presidency of the football section. It was during this period that the Cavigal headquarters was built with the help of the Alpes-Maritimes General Council at the Stade Bob Remond site.

In 2009, he left the presidency of the football section and became President of Cavigal Omnisports.

Cavigal aims to demonstrate that sport is the school of life, where work, seriousness, dedication, and concentration are the essential elements for success. It is also committed to playing a social role, particularly by instilling human, sporting, and civic values in younger generations.
