Dieudonné vs Estrosi: the end (phew!)

Latest News

It was about time! Prefect Leclerc has called an end to the nonsense. The pseudo-revolutionary rapper and the local lord Christian Estrosi will have to find other arguments to spice up their verbal sparring.

After the initial exchange, “I’m coming, no you will not come,” we witnessed the retort: “I will come anyway, no I will oppose it.”

Honestly… don’t these two have anything better to do?

The communiqué from the Prefecture that settles the matter:

“In a press release dated March 9, 2017, the city of Nice expressed its desire to refuse Mr. DIEUDONNE M’ BALA M’BALA the possibility of organizing a performance on July 14, 2017, at the open-air theater near the Promenade des Anglais.

Today, Mr. DIEUDONNE M’BALA M’BALA announced on social media his intention to maintain a show titled ‘Dieudonné and Politics’ at the Nice train station on July 14, 2017, at 7 PM.

In view of the local context and the provocative remarks made by this person, particularly in reference to the July 14, 2016 attack, remarks likely to seriously disturb public order, the prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes will not hesitate, when the time comes, to prohibit this performance, within the scope of his general administrative policing powers.”
