The erotica fair “Erotica Dream” is coming to Nice for its 2009 edition (interview with Axelle Parker)
Hysterical screams, applause, excited girls, … Jack Sparrow, the “Pirate of the Caribbean” has just taken over the stage. Quickly, he takes off his t-shirt, then his pants and is left on stage in a black thong. He is no longer the pirate as we know him, but a Chippendale performing his show. The audience goes wild, a few privileged ones join him on stage, and the show kicks off for more than an hour and a half with the West Lovers, Axelle Parker, Vicky Versace….
“What we appreciate most is the contact with the audience”, says Bryan, a Chippendale from West Lovers. With their dream bodies, the three Chippendales presented their show, a mix of striptease, dance, and martial arts. Shirtless in firefighter pants, Brian continues: “We do about 10 hours of sports a week plus rehearsals. We are athletes first and foremost”.
On the other side, Virginie Caprice, the patron of this 2008-2009 edition, signs autographs and takes photos with her fans. For her first fair, the beautiful blonde is enthusiastic: “I am super happy to be here in Nice. I didn’t expect to have so many fans”. Dressed in a sexy brown dress, the Parisian dazzled her fans for three days, bringing a sensual and charming touch to the fair.
“We have lowered the taboos; people are more at ease”
Started about ten years ago in Lille, the Erotica fair is becoming increasingly successful. “Over the years, there are more and more visitors. Thanks to the fair, we have lowered the taboos, people are more at ease”, explains Jack, the organizer of “Erotica Dream”. He was inspired by a similar fair in Brussels, Belgium. “I found the idea nice. It’s a product that works well, it’s a bit playful, festive.” Then, in 2005, the tour came to Nice.
“I wanted to see what it was like and I found it nice” assures Stéphane, who came especially from Draguignan. Over three days, nearly 20,000 visitors were able to discover shows, buy “battery-operated pals” or even underwear. The next fair is planned for December, in Lille, where more than 30,000 people are expected.
