September 25, 2011. Once again, the Famillathlon association is organizing a day of family sports meetings. It will be the city of Antibes that will represent the Alpes-Maritimes department.
Famillathlon is back!
For Famillathlon, family means sport!
As it has done every year for the past 7 years, the Famillathlon association renews its commitment to combining two important concepts: sport and family through a fun and sporting day.
All generations are expected to come and share values of solidarity, team spirit, pleasure, and mutual respect. The various activities include diving, horseback riding, gymnastics, tennis, and many more.
The goal is to try out as many activities as possible, all free of charge throughout the day!
All you need is a Pass Card distributed at reception from the opening.
On this occasion, representatives from health prevention and solidarity sectors will also be present to inform families about the benefits of physical activity and good nutrition, as well as the risks of addictions.
A great success in 2010
Despite rainy and cold weather, 2010 was a very successful year. Indeed, more than 40,000 people gathered in all the participating cities in France. Over 200 volunteers mobilized, and 210 associations, clubs, and leagues hosted the day by offering their activities.
Event partners
The Famillathlon association has successfully created partnerships with the Ministry of Sports, UNAF (National Union of Family Associations), Mutuelle Gรฉnรฉrale de Paris, and CNDS (National Center for the Development of Sport).
The association also has local partners such as CAF (Family Allowance Fund), UDAF (Departmental Union of Family Associations), DRDJS (Regional and Departmental Directorate of Youth and Sports), local authorities, and companies such as banks, insurance companies, food companies, and sports businesses.
