SOL EN CIRQUE is one of the many musical events organized in support of SOL EN SI, an association that has been helping children with AIDS since 1990.
SOL EN CIRQUE is first and foremost a concept created in 1993 by Zazie with the help of Vincent Baguian and Jean-Marie Leau. A concept that comes to life as albums, true musical tales for both children and parents. In 2003, the association’s new album was released, titled “The Adventurers of the Soft Stone,” depicting the story of Big Mama, the elephant afflicted by a mysterious ailment. Many artists participate in recording the songs and commit to the children’s cause, including Carla Bruni, Louis Chédid, Francis Cabrel, Maurane, Benoît Poelvoorde, Christophe, Henri Dès, and Alain Souchon.
In 2006, a show was created based on this album, featuring actors, singers, and musicians on stage. The artists embody the jungle animals who want to save their elephant friend. For this, there is only one remedy: the soft stone held by the evil billionaire snake. Thus, the animals create a circus to raise the funds needed to buy the stone.
Full of colors and music, this show delights children while conveying a message of solidarity. Parents, on the other hand, will understand the parallels and nods aimed at their attention.
In the fight against AIDS, declared a National Great Cause in 2005, SOL EN CIRQUE raises awareness on these current issues and puts its creativity and artistic talent in favor of a good cause.
