The Clinique du Palais has announced the appointment of Jean Ziegler as Director. The facility, specializing in medicine and surgery, is part of the Sedna Health Group. This arrival is in line with the ongoing development of the clinic and its establishment project.

The Clinique du Palais has formalized the arrival of Jean Ziegler as director. The facility is a center for medicine and surgery. Its activities cover urological, ophthalmological, ENT, oral, vascular, plastic-reconstructive-aesthetic surgery, and the management of digestive pathologies. The structure is part of the Sedna Health Group.

Jean Ziegler is a graduate of the School of Advanced Studies in Public Health (EHESP). His professional background includes management positions in both private and public healthcare institutions.

He has held numerous positions in medical and rehabilitation care facilities (SMR) and within hospital centers. Notable institutions mentioned include the La Chenevière Cardiovascular Clinic in Saint-Raphaël, the Agen-Nérac Hospital Center, and the Menton Hospital Center. These experiences cover various organizational and territorial contexts.

A mission aligned with the Sedna Health Group’s strategy

In directing the Clinique du Palais, the assigned mission involves continuing the development of the establishment. The objective is focused on patient care. This mission is complementary to other clinics within the Sedna Health Group. The work is also carried out with territory partners.

The Clinique du Palais was established in 2008. The facility is located in the city center. Its status is that of a private institution contracted by Health Insurance. Medical and hospitalization costs are covered by Social Security under the same conditions as in public hospitals. This organization allows for accessible care within a private contracted setting.

A specialist consultation service is installed on the first floor of the clinic. This offer complements the hospitalization and ambulatory activity.

The capacity is distributed as follows. The Clinique du Palais has 54 hospitalization beds. Ten places are dedicated to ambulatory care. The activity represents 2,240 hospitalization stays and 5,593 ambulatory stays per year.

A structuring establishment project

The Clinique du Palais has developed its establishment project in accordance with Article L. 6143-2 of the Public Health Code. The legal framework specifies that “the establishment project defines, notably on the basis of the medical project, the general policy of the establishment.” This text is a reference for the organization’s structure and orientations.

Established for a period of five years, the Establishment Project is the reference text for the facility’s strategy. The validation is ensured by the Medical Establishment Conference (CME). This framework sets the priorities and work axes.

In this context, the appointment of Jean Ziegler is part of a structured dynamic. The management of the Clinique du Palais relies on an existing strategic framework. The challenges concern care organization, territorial coordination, and team support. This appointment marks a step in continuing the orientations defined by the establishment and the Sedna Health Group.
