The Delegation for Senior Citizenship is setting up a whole range of activities during the summer aimed at promoting social connections and combating the isolation of Nice’s seniors during the months of June, July, and August.

seniors_nice-2.jpg Thus, to allow seniors to keep their “Freshness of Mind” during summer and remain active, cultural, sports, and leisure activities will be offered to those over 60, until Tuesday, September 3, with most activities taking place “in the cool”…

PROGRAM

AQUAGYM ON THE BEACH

• Every day from July 8 to August 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the pool located on the beach opposite Lenval Hospital

COUNTRY DANCE DINNER

• Thursday, July 25 – Dance dinner at Saint-Antoine de Ginestière

Apéritif from 6:30 p.m., with the opportunity for those who wish to play boules.
Dinner with southern flavors from 8:00 p.m., followed by a dance evening with wild rhythms.

• Wednesday, July 10 – Jazz Off Ball at 3:30 p.m. at the Palais de la Méditerranée.

EVASION IN THE COOL

• Friday, July 12 – Trip to Tende and La Brigue
Free visit to the village of La Brigue in the morning. Lunch at the farm restaurant “Da Mariulin”. After lunch, free visit to the Musée des Merveilles de Tende. Departure around 3:30 p.m. to return around 5 p.m.

• Friday, August 16 – Trip to Roquebrune-sur-Argens

In Roquebrune-sur-Argens, guided tour “the gourmet walk” of the Heritage House and the Chocolate House, followed by a tasting of local products (chocolate, honey…). Lunch at the restaurant by the lake, followed by an afternoon of relaxation by the lake or shopping at the market

PUBLIC READING

• Monday, August 5 at 10 a.m. as part of the Short Story Contest, public reading of award-winning short stories from previous years… and a few others. Observatory room.

SHORT STORY CONTEST

• Grand literary contest organized from July 1 to August 31
The theme of this fourth edition is Memory of Old Stones.
