The statement below requires no further explanation.

However, my sanction seems too severe. In fact, having attended, Mr. Galy’s remarks were not at all likely to offend anyone.

“Following the municipal council meeting, where, during the presentation of a resolution related to Seniors policy, Mr. Jean Michel Galy, deputy mayor, questioned the legality of a measure proposed by the administration, we found that the legal analysis provided by the services was fully compliant with the law and, while maintaining actions for the benefit of Nice’s seniors, strengthened the legal security of municipal action.

We cannot accept the public questioning of the quality work provided by the municipal administration, and we wish to pay tribute to the quality of work performed by our officials.

Therefore, we have decided to entrust the entire delegation carried out by Mr. Jean Michel Galy to Ms. Micheline Baus, municipal councilor, with Ms. Martine Martinon remaining sub-delegate.”
