In the realm of young people searching for a profession, there are two possible options: the first (the most common), is to live discontentedly while cursing the cynical fate that prevents us from building the future of our dreams.
The other option is to have clear ideas, roll up your sleeves, and build your own future by overcoming the inevitable difficulties.
It’s the story of the glass being half empty or half full…
For Marine Jauffrit, there is no doubt; it is half full.
“Everything started in childhood. I always had my notebook and sketched several drawings. At 14, I asked and convinced my parents to let me dive into the fashion world.”
The path is not a royal road…
“After the first two years of the BEP in fashion professions, I entered several young designer competitions. I then moved towards stage costumes and obtained my costume designer diploma.”
The takeoff begins. A few years after… three years at the prestigious Parisian fashion design school Berรงot, a year as an apprentice at Lacroix and Jean Doucet, three years as a costume designer for Club Med abroad (Turkey/Israel/Mexico), … back to Nice for an experience in luxury fashion retail.
In 2015, the dream becomes reality: Maison Mirane (a subtle play on words with her last name) is born. A high-end women’s ready-to-wear brand, conceived all over the world (experience helps…), but manufactured in France!
Tonight at 5 PM at the Hotel Splendid, Marine presents her spring/summer collection: it reflects her spirit, both dreamy and mischievous.
Finally, the proof is there: with clear ideas and the determination to succeed, you put many chances on your side.
Moreover, doing it with a touch of fantasy and lightheartedness… is even better!
