The National Front candidate, Marie-Christine Arnautu, revealed part of her running mates for the municipal election. The FN candidate for the 2014 municipal elections also announced several important updates, such as the upcoming visit of Marine Le Pen to Nice, and did not miss the opportunity to attack her political opponents from all sides.
Marie-Christine Arnautu announced yesterday that she had submitted her list of 69 names, “people close to the people of Nice.” A list defined by “meritocracy” that aims to be close to the city’s residents, a list composed “of people who know Nice, people from real life.”
While declaring herself calm and convinced of being the “only opposition,” the candidate regretted the deleterious and anti-democratic climate surrounding the election. By denouncing Christian Estrosi’s refusal to debate, she affirmed that she would not participate in any debates unless conducted in a democratic context, even as she is “under no illusions” anymore.
Important announcement, Marine Le Pen is expected to come to show her full support for the candidate in March. Like all opponents of the incumbent Mayor, Marie-Christine Arnautu is for an above-ground line 2 of the tram; she also wishes to review the criteria for the allocation of social housing so that it is less distributed to foreigners. The FN’s project will be unveiled very soon, a program with security as a priority.
