The first round of the municipal election takes place this Sunday, March 9th, in Nice and throughout France.
Eight candidates are competing, in alphabetical order: Patrick Allemand (PS, PCF, Les Verts, MRC), Hervรฉ Caรซl (Modem, MEI, PRG), Bruno Della Sudda (Alternatifs, LCR, Syndicalists), Christian Estrosi (UMP), Patrick Mottard (Various Left), Jacques Peyrat (Various Right), Lydia Schรฉnardi (FN), Philippe Vardon (Youth Identitaires, MNR). Some have been campaigning since September. The stakes are high: to succeed Jacques Peyrat, who has been mayor since 1995 and is seeking re-election.
