Nature House Departmental Natural Park of the Grande Corniche in รze
On Thursday, May 12, 2011, Mr. Eric Ciotti, Deputy and President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, will present the “Nature Days,” in the presence of Mr. Jean-Pierre Rozelot, President of Planรจte Sciences, Mr. Jean-Louis Pasquet, Director of Planรจte Sciences, and students from the Jules Romain, Alphonse Daudet, and Valรฉri schools.
Following the catastrophic fires of the summer of 2003, the General Council, in partnership with the educational inspectorate, decided to implement an information and awareness program for middle school students, built around the organization of “Nature Days.”
Throughout these days, students are invited to participate in interactive workshops led by agents from the departmental natural parks, forest fire prevention officers from FORCE 06, firefighters from the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service, and the association Planรจte Sciences. These workshops focus on the richness and fragility of the natural environment and aim to make students aware of the behaviors to adopt as responsible citizens, particularly in the area of forest fire prevention.
Let us remember that the “Nature Days” take place from May 9 to May 13, 2011, in the departmental natural parks of the Grande Corniche in รze and Vaugrenier in Villeneuve-Loubet, bringing together 1,000 middle school students.
