The Ehrmann track welcomes the athletes once again. Two events will take place in the city center on May 29 and 30.

Nice is once again hosting the Nikaïa Meeting from May 29 to 31, 2025. Organized by ASPTT Nice Côte d’Azur and The Bellou Company, this athletics event is returning for its third edition since its revival. It will mainly take place at the Charles Ehrmann Stadium, with two offsite events scheduled in the heart of the city.

Traditionally scheduled in June, the meeting has been brought forward this year. The main event is set for Saturday, May 31, starting at 7 PM, within the Charles Ehrmann sports park. Fifteen events will take place, combining athletics and para-athletics.

On the track side, the program includes middle-distance events (800 m, 1500 m, and 5000 m), the 3000 m steeplechase, as well as field events (pole vault, long jump, triple jump, javelin). Para-athletics is not forgotten, with two 100 m races open to both women and men.

Gabriel Tual, a specialist in the 800 m and a 2024 European medalist, will participate in a specially arranged 600 m race. “I am very happy to return to Nice for the Nikaïa Meeting, which I have fond memories of from 2021, when I achieved my minimums for the Tokyo Olympics. This year, I will compete in the 600 m, and it will be an important moment in my preparation before starting my 800 m season in the Diamond League meetings,” he stated.

Two events in town

The Nikaïa Meeting also plans two events outside the stadium. On Thursday, May 29, a women’s shot put competition will be held on Ponchettes Beach. The next day, Friday, May 30, Place Masséna will host a road mile, reserved for women.

Access to these two city events is free. For the events at the stadium, admission is paid, with prices ranging from 10 to 30 euros. A hospitality offer is available at 150 euros. Ticket sales opened on April 29. They can be accessed online or directly on-site on the day of the event.

The Nikaïa Meeting is cementing its place in the French athletics calendar. It combines top-level competition, public accessibility, and an openness to Paralympic disciplines. The evening of May 31 promises to be intense, with around fifteen events packed between 7 PM and 9:30 PM.
