Invitation to the C.U.M. this Thursday, May 30th at 4:00 PM for a guided photographic tour to rediscover or discover the hundred pieces of contemporary art scattered across the city of Nice. Hervรฉ Cael, the author of this work, will hold a lecture to present “Nice, an Open-Air Contemporary Art Museum.”
“For several years, these sculptures (about a hundred) have gradually integrated into our urban landscape. The people of Nice encounter them daily without sometimes paying attention, and our visitors, who frequently stay focused on the city’s main classical routes, sometimes discover them by chance during a stroll,” the author tells us.
“Both locals and visitors are amused, intrigued, or challenged by these strange and often colorful silhouettes that give our city the feel of an exhibition hall under the Mediterranean sun.”
To conclude with admiration: “This heritage, a true asset for our city, positions Nice as a genuine open-air contemporary art museum!”
