The exhibition The Enchanted Circle at the Masséna Museum is extended until Sunday, March 1st.


The exhibition allows visitors to explore the fabulous history of the Circus, from its birth in the 18th century to the present day, through the works and documents from the private collection of Doctor Alain Frère.

The circus has inspired great artists like Francisco de Goya, Toulouse Lautrec, Marc Chagall, Pablo Picasso, Victor Vasarely, Albert Chubac, all fascinated by this great popular show, whose masterpieces will naturally be displayed alongside talented French poster artists such as Jules Chéret, Pal, Florit, Gustave Soury or Antonin Magne.

A 35-minute film showcasing the greatest acts awarded a Golden Clown is specially made for the exhibition.

As part of The Enchanted Circle exhibition, in partnership with the association Tous en Piste (ecoledecirquetousenpiste.com), magical performances and juggling demonstrations are offered for both children and adults!

The magic world of Alexia, a professional magician accompanied by Rico her “parrot,” takes you on a journey into their magical and extraordinary world, a funny and interactive show.
