The Municipal Council of Nice was convened this morning at 9 o’clock with the task of electing the Mayor, determining the number of deputies, electing them, and assigning delegations to them as well as to the councilors. These are the regulations imposed by the local government code.
Naturally, while the name of the Mayor is well-known, the predictions for the individuals who will form the team and their delegations will only be officially announced at the time of the announcement, even if some names could be speculated as if in a game of dice without risking losing the bet. Out of respect for those who will remain on the margins, these names will not be disclosed, because, in a team, the cohort is as useful as the court.
This will also be an opportunity for Christian Estrosi, whose long-standing occupancy of the mayoral seat is nearing a modern-era record, to deliver his inauguration speech and to revisit his program.
