On the occasion of the United Nations international climate conference, called โCOP 21โ, currently being held in Paris, the Nice Cรดte dโAzur Metropolis is offering a fun and educational, free exhibition titled “Innovation Serving Biodiversity”!
The Nice Cรดte dโAzur Metropolis is committed, on a daily basis, to an ambitious policy in favor of Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development.
Through its Agenda 21, the Metropolis proposes concrete actions to improve the living environment of its residents, notably through the development of renewable energies, better energy efficiency, and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions… as well as citizen initiatives like the City of Nice Environment Awards.
Until December 10, at the Promenade du Paillon (near the children’s play area), people of all ages can explore an exhibition of photographs of landscapes, as well as plant and animal species that make up the remarkable biodiversity present on the Natura 2000 sites, watch films on terrestrial and marine biodiversity, participate in a unique augmented reality experience on innovation in waste collection (interactive application available for free download on mobile devices), or even “tinker” on a touch screen in search of smart sensors that allow for the development of urban monitoring in our territory…
A week to (re)discover the actions implemented by the Nice Cรดte dโAzur Metropolis, confirming its position as an interconnected, intelligent, and sustainable territory of the 21st century!
