For the fourth consecutive year, the city of Nice is committing to Action Against Hunger with the Walk Against Hunger! On May 24th, numerous residents of Nice will cover as many kilometers as possible. In this way, they will show their support for the association and the fight against hunger and malnutrition.
The Solidarity Walk Against Hunger, open to everyone, will be sponsored by Marc Raquil, world champion of the 4×400 meters and a loyal athlete of the walk since its first edition.
Since 2011, the Action Against Hunger delegation in the Alpes Maritimes has organized a Walk Against Hunger in Nice. On Saturday, May 24th, starting at 9 AM, numerous residents of Nice will walk 3 km along the new Paillon promenade to combat the scourge of malnutrition.
As every year, the famous Marc Raquil, world champion of the 4×400 meters, will give the official start. Additionally, Jean-Henri Fabre College also officially supports the Walk Against Hunger from its inception. Members of the administration, teachers, and many students accompany and participate in the walk from the beginning of the journey.
This walk is open to all who wish to support the fight against hunger, which still affects over 842 million people worldwide.
