Due to health conditions prohibiting gatherings in public areas, the Mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, has made the following decisions to honor the memory of the teacher murdered by an Islamist barbarian.
Following the lowering of the French flag this Sunday, a book of condolences and a banner in memory of Samuel Paty will be available at the Town Hall starting Monday.
Starting Monday, November 2nd, the day school resumes, all schools in the city of Nice will lower the French and Nice flags. A minute of silence will be observed at 10:00 AM in all schools in the city of Nice. This minute of silence will be an opportunity to explain this tribute.
Christian Estrosi asks all institutions in the city to join in these acts of tribute and resistance. He will visit a school, and the elected members of the municipal council of Nice will also visit a school.
