If tensions have been high recently, it seems the fire couldn’t be controlled, and the discussion phase has turned into a negotiation phase between OGC Nice and its new coach. Given the absence of Didier Ollé-Nicolle and his assistants, the decision is expected to be announced in the coming hours.
Speculation and rumors are rampant in various forums dedicated to the club, as well as in the stands at the Ray, and while names like Elie Baup, Roland Courbis, or even László Bölöni have been widely mentioned, nothing excludes the possibility that the trio who led the training today might continue until the end of a season that is likely to be challenging until the very end.
Indeed, the young eagles won’t have an easy journey, starting with a tricky trip to Le Mans next Saturday, who are just five points behind Nice in the standings. This will be followed by hosting PSG before traveling to Toulouse, then welcoming Sochaux before the derby in Marseille. Two home games might allow the eagles to rack up points against Lens and Grenoble before heading to Boulogne-sur-Mer and hosting Bordeaux. In the final two matches of the season, Nice will visit Frédéric Antonetti’s Rennes before concluding the season at home against Saint-Etienne.
