OGC Nice: Le Bihan and Ricardo Pereira are the latest signings.

Latest News

The summer transfer window closed at midnight, and OGC Nice was active. Mickaรซl Le Bihan, the top scorer in Ligue 2 last season, arrives from Le Havre, and right-back Ricardo Pereira is on loan from FC Porto.

The Gym’s squad is finally complete. The dreaded moment for all coaches is now over as the transfer window has finally come to an end, but four Ligue 1 matches have already been played. For OGC Nice, the record is decent (11th with 5 points) with one victory (2-1 against Caen), two draws (3-3 at Troyes and 1-1 at Angers), and one defeat (1-2 against Monaco).

Le Bihan, a significant reinforcement in attack

It had been in the pipeline since the beginning of the transfer window and even since last winter. It is now done; Mickaรซl Le Bihan leaves Normandy to join the French Riviera and OGC Nice. According to well-informed media, the player has signed a long-term contract for approximately 1.5 million euros. He joins his former captain at Le Havre Athletic Club, Maxime Le Marchand, at the Gym.

Mickaรซl Le Bihan, aged 25, was the top scorer in Ligue 2 last season with 18 goals. His preferred position is central, so he arrives to compete with Nice’s attacking talents such as Valรจre Germain and Alassane Plea. In Nice for a while, he could be a major option for the 2016-2017 season with Germain’s loan return to Monaco.

“He is very dangerous for opposing defenses. At Le Havre, he was alone upfront with someone playing around him. He has the ability to hold the ball, make support plays, start from deep, and combine: he is a very good striker,” explained Maxime Le Marchand a few days ago.

Ricardo, a necessary arrival

It was a priority after an incredible series of injuries. The defense sees a new addition arriving. With Bodmer, Genevois, Hult, Le Marchand, and Traorรฉ in the infirmary, action was needed. Ricardo Pereira arrives on a two-year loan. The FC Porto right-back is a Portuguese youth international and has already played around forty matches (scoring 8 goals) professionally with Vitoria Guimarรฃes and about twenty with Porto. He is the second player loaned by the major Portuguese club, a year after Carlos Eduardo.

He is the eighth and last Nice recruit of the transfer window after Maxime Le Marchand, Hatem Ben Arfa, Micka Sรฉri, Valรจre Germain, Paul Baysse, Wallyson, and Mickaรซl Le Bihan. Benvindo a Nissa.
