“This is not a list that needs to practice openness because it is naturally open. It brings together men and women of diverse origins who, above all, share the same ideal for Nice.” Patrick Mottard has therefore finalized his list which also includes representatives from various socio-professional categories, members of political parties, and individuals from civil society.
From the political party side, there are representatives from the Socialist Party – was Patrick Mottard the only one excluded by the National PS? – but also members of the MoDem or even those on leave from François Bayrou’s party. The list integrates various skills and Nice personalities such as Zineb Doulfikar, President of the local association “Ni putes, ni soumises,” Dominique Boy-Mottard, general councilor and wife of the candidate, Céline Lacroix, former head of the FCPE 06 and MoDem candidate in the last legislative elections in Nice. On the male side, there is Pierre Laigle, current city councilor and close to Patrick Mottard, Lucien Fouques, head of an association, Christian Depardieu, Director of the Depardieu art gallery, and Jean Montoya, former DRAC and academic delegate for cultural action.
The list has just over a month to convince and seduce the people of Nice to trust them in order to make it past the first stage of the first round. Thus, there is much work ahead for the 69 running mates who will meet with future voters in all districts to explain how to “do Nice differently.”
