“Coincidence” is an installation that allows the fortuitous meeting of two single monoliths. “Meteor” claims to recover non-renewable energy, and “The Speed of Light” transforms electrostatic energy into mechanical energy, thereby making the invisible visible.
Titled “Convenience,” the works ironically evoke the utopia of everyday objects that make life easier and more comfortable. On one hand, glorifying the reference, and on the other, surpassing it for the benefit of staging, Michel de Broin’s vocabulary asserts and softens at the same time. Although the objects he employs are recognizable and immediately intelligible at first glance, they prove more mysterious upon reflection.
The showroom includes a selection of pieces by Thierry Lagalla, Sabry Tchalgadjieff, and Jérôme Robbe.
And to catch the eye of the passerby, it is Arnaud Labelle-Rojoux who will create a unique piece for the tondo on the facade.
This exhibition is realized with the support of Villa Arson, Nice.
