A first truth: the socialist candidate is ahead of the incumbent president, whose score is approximately 4 points lower compared to the first round of the 2007 election.
The National Front recovers the lost votes from 2007, Marine Le Pen’s score is equivalent to that of Jean-Marie Le Pen in the first round of 2002.
François Bayrou falls and obtains half of the votes from 2007 while Mélenchon does the opposite and, even in a situation not comparable, significantly increases the result of Marie-George Buffet.
No significant changes among the Greens, the result of Eva Joly is in line with Voynet in 2007 (the European elections are now a distant memory)
