Regional elections in PACA: Gaël Nofri is against the divisive vision of the FN

Latest News

Gaël Nofri, the lead candidate for Debout la France in the department, confirms it: no voting instructions for the voters of this party, which scored 1.77% (1.95% at the regional level) last Sunday.

Obviously, it’s not a great result, but if you compare it to others who had big ambitions, it’s not too bad in the end.

And, in this head-to-head duel, which will be decided with very little margin, every vote will carry its full weight.

However, the elected official from Nice (he is a city and metropolitan councilor) does not want to shirk his civic duty as a citizen, and his vote will bear the name of Christian Estrosi.

The motivation is both simple and complex: “I am a staunch opponent of the mayor of Nice in his management of the city and the metropolis. However, I acknowledge his republican spirit and his respect for the values of democracy,” he explained.

He continued: “However, the success of the FN candidate and especially her identity-based drift would go against the principles of sovereigntism that I advocate.”

His conclusion is clear: “You cannot equate Christian Estrosi’s management methods with Marion Maréchal Le Pen’s ideological approach, which has a strong identity influence.”

This is called the choice of the lesser evil…
