With a result of 4.31%, the EELV-FdG list achieves a score lower than the regional average (6.54%). If the electoral rule were applied, it would not even be eligible for fusion in the second round.
There is therefore cause, for the communists, to reflect on the adequacy of their offering in relation to the electorate.
The approach needs to be re-evaluated because apparently, itโs not working.
Statement by Robert Injey (PCF of Nice)
Today the voters have a choice only between C. Estrosi and Marรฉchal Le Pen.
The former relentlessly tries to win over the National Front voters, trivializing the theses it promotes. His result in the first round sounds like a failure of this approach.
The latter is the representative of the far right that marked the darkest times in our country, those of collaboration and the OAS. She embodies the hatred of “the other,” stigmatization, withdrawal, and the denial of the Republic’s values. The arrival of the far right at the head of the Region would open the darkest chapter of its history.
In a concerning situation where political leaders refuse to resolutely tackle the issues plaguing our society, we invite voters in this second round to vote, and to do so consciously, in defense of the values of the Republic.
