This Friday, January 13, will be a lucky day for music enthusiasts.

Richard Galliano, who is to the accordion what others have never managed to be with their instrument of choice, is releasing a best-of album tracing decades of diverse and varied musical experiences.

A versatile musician, Richard Galliano expresses himself in all musical genres, from classical to jazz and including chanson.

He is the first French accordionist to abolish the boundaries between jazz and the standard accordion repertoire, and from this encounter, he continually blends genres.

“The Milan Years,” named after his adventure with Milan Music, includes various compositions. From his collaboration with Astor Piazzolla in A Midsummer Night’s Dream to the tribute to the latter in Solo, or to Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose, Galliano leaves no one out. He also does not forget his audience and invites them to trace his most beautiful experiences. His pieces from Famille dโ€™Artistes where he played solo piano, bandoneon, and trombone scores. His journeys like with Tangaria, From Brazil, or Love Day. His live performances like Tango Live For Ever, Live in Marciac.

Two CDs, more than thirty tracks where we find a mix of titles from 1986 to 2015 for the delight of Galliano fans, native of Cannes. On a Cavagnolo as on a Victoria, Richard Galliano will let you relive his finest moments without needing to utter a word. And that is indeed the magic of music played by the hands of a master.
