7 firefighters from the SDIS of the Alpes-Maritimes are heading to the southeast zone to support their counterparts in Réunion
The island of Réunion has been facing cyclone Belal since Monday, January 15. The violet alert has been lifted and replaced by a red alert. The cyclone has caused damage, with an estimated 150,000 households left without electricity. Additionally, 1 man has been found dead. Wind gusts are reaching more than 200 km/h, and sending reinforcements is necessary.

To provide assistance, the Alpes-Maritimes region is sending reinforcements on the evening of Monday, the 15th. A group of 7 firefighters from the region, specialized in support and search rescue, will be deployed in the southeast zone. Sending reinforcements is essential, and the Alpes-Maritimes are showing solidarity with Réunion as urgently as possible.
