On the occasion of the 30th Heritage Days, Villa Arson invites you to discover its site, gardens and terraces, its history and architecture – labeled as 20th-century heritage – and particularly the connection it maintains with heritage as an establishment dedicated to art for forty years. It houses a national higher school of art, a contemporary art center, and a media library.
Located on the hill of Saint-Barthélémy, Villa Arson occupies a vast estate of more than two hectares, offering an exceptional panorama over the city of Nice and the Baie des Anges.
This unique architectural ensemble, erected in the midst of a Mediterranean garden, includes the 19th-century former residence of the Arson family, now embedded in modern concrete and pebble constructions designed in the 1960s by architect Michel Marot.
Discovering the 4,500 m² of terraces, a true hanging garden and belvedere overlooking the city, is one of the highlights of this visit.
These heritage days provide an opportunity for a unique discovery or rediscovery of the entire site, its gardens, and architecture… the 23,000 m² spaces of the national higher school of art, the galleries of the art center, and the gardens and terraces that form a unique place of artistic experimentation.
