The Independent Look Association and the Association Relay are organizing, for the first time in the department, a day dedicated to blogs and bloggers. This meeting will take place on Saturday, February 18 from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM at the Association Relay.
The number of blogs is estimated at 7.8 million and is increasing at a rate of 40,000 per day. One out of every two students either runs a blog or participates in one, according to the French Ministry of Education. Thus, blogging has become a bona fide trend. Gone are the days of trading pins during recess. Nowadays, middle school students are exchanging blog addresses. More educational than Pokémon, yet more controversial than pins, these modern “personal diaries” certainly deserve discussion. Initially almost exclusively created by teenagers, the profile of the “bloggers” has evolved. Anyone who has the web, surfs daily, and participates in various forums, finds in maintaining a personal blog the perfect tool for recounting, reflecting, and revealing.
Setup is simple, uncontrollable and uncontrolled, which is certainly the cause of some excesses. Some would say that these excesses are due to freedom of speech.
The world of blogs, called “Blogosphere,” is naturally present in Alpes-Maritimes. The Independent Look Association and the Association Relay are organizing, for the first time in the department, a day dedicated to blogs and bloggers. This meeting will take place on Saturday, February 18 from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM at the Association Relay (12 rue Delille). The community of Azurian bloggers will be well represented. Already noted is the visit from celebrities like Garibaldo who runs [https://nissa2008.canalblog.com/], Patrick Allemand, the vice-president of the regional council ([https://www.patrickallemand.canalblog.com/]), and Patrick Mottard ([https://www.patrickmottard.blogspot.com/]) among many other more anonymous bloggers.
Program of the day:
– From 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, a training session for beginners on how to create, animate, and administer a blog. (by reservation)
– From 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, an afternoon of meetings and exchanges. Two panel discussions will be organized around the world of blogs, focusing on its diversity and specificities, as well as this sphere of free expression under scrutiny. The aim is to compare experiences, both in terms of content (writing, presentation, relations with readers) and on technical aspects (radio-blogs, uploading photographs and videos, etc.). It also involves raising awareness among blog authors about the legal aspects of expression and creation on the Internet with Creative Commons licenses, copyright issues, and the world of free software.
