The Occitan Dictation also takes place in 37 cities in Occitania, Paris, Barcelona, València, and Palma. Closer to us, it will occur twice in Nice on January 28th (in Nice: 15th Occitan Dictation in Nissart on Saturday, January 28th at 2:30 PM at the Association Space, 12 Place Garibaldi).
It is free and open to everyone, with prizes awarded to all participants.
Schoolchildren, middle school, and high school students from the alpenc (Occitan) courses at the Educational Institutions of L’Escarène and Menton and of nissart (Occitan) in Nice, La Trinité, and Drap
will receive awards for their dictations in their Institutions.
This dictation is a free contest open to everyone. Rest assured, it is not the Niçoise copy of the Pivot dictation!
The Coaraze text is by Rogier Molié (born in 1936), dictated by Cristòu Daurore. The author is from Coaraze, a retired railway worker who has been living in the village since 1985.
He has been diligently attending the Coaraze courses since their inception in October 2005.
This text allows all those who know a bit of the language to try writing it; all spellings are accepted.
Friendliness and good humor are guaranteed, the essential thing is to participate!
The course will be followed (in the same room) by: a traditional music workshop at 3 PM and a traditional dance workshop with Corinne Borsotto at 5 PM, organized by the association Le Cadran Solaire.
Shared meal (everyone brings something to eat and drink and we share)
and at 7:30 PM the Session dals Palhons (Palhons Session) balèti (dance) with the group Les Barbalucos.
