The awarding of the 2024 Olympics to Paris represents a great victory for all of France, but also a challenge for the entire country. And the Nice stadium, with its 35,000 seats, is qualified to be an Olympic site.
It’s a just return of events. In 1894, Baron Pierre de Coubertin revived the Olympic Games in Paris. 2024 will be the year of the Olympics in the French capital, but not only there.
Paris will thus host the Olympics for the third time (after 1900 and 1924) and will relocate some competitions to partner cities.
The Cรดte d’Azur and its Allianz Riviera stadium are approved to host the football events.
This gives meaning to the proud reaction of the Mayor of Nice, who had strongly advocated for this investment.

Nice had been a partner in the Euro 2016 and for tourism professionals, the event led to significant peaks in attendance.
