On this occasion, the musicians of the Harmony-Brass Band, presided over by Agnès Ceretto, will be awarded the City of Nice medal by Christian Estrosi, and the National Assembly medal by Rudy Salles.

Founded in 1927, “La Jeunesse Niçoise” is an educational initiative for the youth, through the culture of Musical Art, affiliated with the Union of Brass Bands of France and the Provence Côte d’Azur federation of the Union of Brass Bands of France. It was born from the merging of two musical societies: the Children’s Harmony of Nice (created in 1853), and the Old Nice Harmony (created in 1926).

Today, “La Jeunesse Niçoise” is a Harmony-Brass Band composed of about 85 members. It notably performs during the Carnival, or on the occasion of neighborhood festivals and military or religious ceremonies in Nice and the Alpes-Maritimes.
