The ALC association, recognized as a public utility, has been based in the Alpes Maritimes since 1958 and carries out social and solidarity actions. It helps with the integration of adults and minors facing serious social difficulties.
A major player in child protection and integration, as well as a key figure in human trafficking issues, the association has also been able to initiate a suitable solution for Unaccompanied Minors. ALC has successfully proposed innovative projects by creating structures that offer a concrete solution in favor of employment.
“60 years of history with the periods we have experienced: the post-war era, the thirty glorious years, then the crisis of the 1970s followed by the gradual and continuous rise of unemployment. During these periods, social policies were often developed by the associative movement,” says President Hรฉlรจne Dumas.
An attractive program is scheduled from 1:30 PM in the Linnรฉe room at Parc Phoenix: a conference led by Jean Baptiste DE FOUCAULD, a specialist in employment issues, combating unemployment, and solidarity, coordinator of the Civic Pact, a round table hosted by journalist Nancy CATTAN, with the presence of Gilles BOUFFIN, an expert in management and associative governance issues, & Alexis GOURSOLAS, a specialist in employment access and integration policies.
The evolution of society will be addressed, which has experienced significant setbacks in recent years with the rise of political and religious extremes. The internet has significantly altered the way connections are made. Issues of radicalization have prompted new social questions. Precarity and vulnerability seem to be embedding themselves in the landscape. Withdrawal into oneself (or individualism) appears to be a reality.
There is no reason to favor one culture over another; what matters is that it is recognized and transmissible. However, there are all the reasons to believe that working towards the social integration of a person in difficulty is to enable them to rely on the culture in which they have lived so far and to help them discover the one in which they must now live. It is about helping them to measure the gaps and possible dialogues between the two.
