Here are the *Goélands* (awards) that the Ciné Café film club has given to its favorites of 2012.

Actors or directors, several names in cinema have been awarded this symbolic prize, a symbol of recognition by passionate and highly knowledgeable fans of the cinematic world.

No red carpet here, but the artists who receive the famous Goéland get an email explaining the origin of this award and why it is given to them. Some of them respond and express being very touched by this initiative.

– Take Shelter by Jeff Nichols receives one for the film’s power and atmosphere.

– Rengaine by Rachid Djadami, for its “lively and pugnacious” writing.

– Noémie Lvovsky for her screenplay in the film *Camille Rewinds*.

– In the House by François Ozon, for “this light and unsettling way of allowing us to see other people’s homes.”

– Matthias Schoenaerts for his performances in *Bullhead* and *Rust and Bone*.

– Corinne Masiero for her performance in *Louise Wimmer* by Cyril Mennegun.

– The Women on the 678 Bus by Mohamed Diab, for successfully combining such a social phenomenon with cinematic expertise.

– Skyfall by Sam Mendes, for becoming one of the best films in this 23-film saga.

– Tabu by Miguel Gomes, for the film’s demonstration of cinematic artistry.

– Leos Carax for his *Holy Motors*, for the beautiful moments of cinema this film provides (which should have won the Cannes Festival!).

– And finally, Philippe Torreton “for his sensational performance in the epic *David and Goliath* and for his spectacular use of the sling without a double and without special effects.”
