Yesterday, students of EDHEC (École des hautes études commerciales) were awarded solidarity scholarships by the Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe Foundation. Through this support, the foundation reiterates its parent company’s commitment alongside EDHEC in favor of social and cultural diversity.

Since 2010, Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe has committed, alongside EDHEC, to helping young people. Today, this sponsorship, taken over by its corporate foundation, annually funds EDHEC’s scholarship programs and has thus allowed the award of 50 scholarships for the 2013-2014 academic year.

As Eric Charpentier, CEO of CMNE, states, “Our goal is to take concrete action for greater equality of opportunity in access to higher education.” Thanks to this solidarity scholarship system, he affirms, “we are supporting young people who might not have been able to bear the cost of this education and we encourage them to believe in their dreams.”

Created in January 2013, the Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe Foundation gives new scope to the sponsorship activities led by the group for the last 10 years. It supports organizations and associations that contribute to the development of its territory, in fields such as culture and knowledge, combating exclusion, and supporting entrepreneurship creation.
