As part of Pink October, the association “Friends of LACASSAGNE” is organizing a charity concert intended to raise funds to improve the reception and comfort conditions for patients hospitalized at the Antoine-Lacassagne Center.
The event is scheduled for this Saturday, October 16, at 3:30 PM at the Saint-François de Paule Church.
The invited artists are none other than the Duo CZIFFRA, two artists with strong temperaments, who unleash for and with their audience in the expression of their shared passions for characterful music.
Ludmilla Grimault and Jean-Noël Dubois, exceptional pianists with remarkable technique, navigate all traps by producing a pearly and transparent play that conveys both gentleness and vigor, effortlessly freeing themselves from all musical ornamentation. Trills, tremolos, arpeggios, and triplets express through their fingers dreams, delicacy, passion, the rustling of the wind through the foliage, the chirping of birds, or the crashing waves on the rocks.
A premonitory sign, Ludmilla GUILMAULT recorded the album “En Rêve” some years ago with VDE-GALLO, dedicated to Franz LISZT, which included among the performed works “Saint-François de Paule walking on the waves,” a nearly nine-minute piece full of generous sounds that stand out through melody combined with a subtle play handling both expressiveness and sensitivity; enough to feel at home this afternoon, perhaps!
