For three days, from Wednesday, the 13th to Friday, the 15th, first at the National Sports Museum, an emblematic place in more ways than one, and then at Skema in Sophia-Antipolis, sports and Olympism will be in the spotlight on the occasion of the 10th international symposium of the French Pierre de Coubertin Committee.
Distinguished personalities, historians, and researchers will share their knowledge and reflections with the assembly, which will likely lead to exciting debates.
In line with the upcoming Paris 2024 Games, this symposium aims to investigate the cultural dimension of the Olympic project and the transformations it has undergone over time. Thus, the theme of the symposium echoes one of the original principles of Olympism, which celebrates “beauty through participation in the arts and thought Games.”
More broadly, it will also explore the relationship between art and sport through a resolutely interdisciplinary approach, so that the diversity of perspectives from the intersection of viewpoints may foster productive exchanges.
