Renaud Muselier, President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, has launched a fundraising campaign in support of law enforcement officers injured during the yellow vests movement.
His motivation is simple: “The yellow vests movement has been overshadowed by factious individuals who attack our police officers, gendarmes, and firefighters. Thus, more than 1,050 members of our law enforcement have been injured during demonstrations.”
In response to the fundraising campaign launched on the platform “leetchi.com” in support of the thug who attacked our law enforcement (now closed), the President of the Regional Council decided to launch a fundraising campaign on the same platform in support of police officers, gendarmes, and firefighters injured during the disturbances the country has been experiencing since November.
With more than 175,000 euros collected in less than 24 hours, Renaud Muselier is pleased with its scale and calls for continued mobilization.
“This fundraising campaign is my response as a citizen to the accomplices of rioters! It is a necessary rebalancing of values. Solidarity is expressed in favor of the victims, not the thugs,” states the President of the Region.
All the funds collected will be donated to the “Aid and Social Action Committee of the Ministry of the Interior Agents” (police, gendarmerie, and firefighters).
